The Annual General Meeting of Traffic Management Company Fintraffic Ltd resolved to adopt the financial statements for 2020. In accordance with the proposal of the Board of Directors, the Annual General Meeting resolved that no dividend shall be paid for the financial year.

In 2020, the Fintraffic VTS Centre prevented nine potential groundings and recorded nearly 940 deviations in vessel traffic, as described in the recently completed Fintraffic annual report on deviations.

In 2020, traffic decreased like never before, due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to preliminary analysis of data collected by Traffic Management Company Fintraffic Ltd, the decrease was about 10% in road traffic on the main roads, nearly 60% in flights in Finnish airspace and 4% in rail traffic, compared to the previous year. Shipping also showed a record drop in passenger numbers.

The companies in the Traffic Management Finland group have been renamed. We are now all under the name Fintraffic. We have also refurbished our communications channels.

In the past year, we have seen that using digital services can make us be more productive and happier and reduce our emissions. Reducing transport volume through digital means should therefore be a key tool in the toolkit of reducing transport emissions.
