Fintraffic’s Air Navigation Services’ Flight Planning Centre (FPC) was established 15 years ago. Its purpose was to centralise support for air navigation services nationally at a single location. The Flan Planning Centre is a unique entity in Finland, and there is no equivalent anywhere in Europe. The new Fintraffic Mobile application brings real-time traffic data from Finnish roads and rail traffic to road users and rail passengers. The application utilises real-time data obtained directly from Fintraffic’s traffic centres. Location-based push notifications inform the user immediately when something abnormal happens nearby on the roads or on a preferred rail route.
