Welcome to the first stakeholder seminar of the NELSON project! The event will take place on 25 November 2025 from 9:00 to 12:00 at Studio Uusikumpu (Vuoritontuntie 22, 02200 Espoo).
The day will feature discussions on international cooperation, maritime digitalisation, e-Navigation, and how shared information connects ships and shore.

About the NELSON project
Launched in September, the NELSON project aims to enhance maritime safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability through innovative digital solutions. Fintraffic's Vessel Traffic Services coordinates the project, which focuses on developing both the physical and digital infrastructure of maritime fairways and supporting the introduction of remote pilotage.
In addition to Fintraffic, partners include the Swedish Maritime Administration, the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Aalto University, Finnpilot Pilotage Oy, and several companies and port authorities from Finland and Spain.
