Whose personal data is processed by Air Navigation Services (who are the “data subjects”)?
- Applicants of an air navigation obstacle statement and owners of air navigation obstacles.
Personal data provided by the data subject to Air Navigation Services
- Contact details and other identification details of the applicant of the air navigation obstacle statement: first and last name, street address, postcode, post office, telephone number, e-mail address and name of the organisation.
Personal data provided by the data subject to Air Navigation Services/personal data disclosed to Air Navigation Services by other parties
- Contact details and other identification details of the owner/operator of the obstacle if the applicant of the air navigation obstacle statement is a different person than the owner/operator of the obstacle.
- In addition, the form for requesting an air navigation obstacle statement asks for information about the obstacle, which might be considered personal data of the owner/operator of the obstacle.
- Invoicing information.
Purpose of processing
Air Navigation Services processes personal data for the purpose a statutory task, which is the issuance an air navigation obstacle statement in accordance with section 158 of the Aviation Act. The basis for the processing of personal data is the fulfilment of Air Navigation Services’ legal obligations.
Retention periods of personal data
Air Navigation Services retains personal data for a period of five years as required by the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/373.
An exception to this is invoicing information which is stored for the period required by accounting legislation.
