Whose personal data is processed by Air Navigation Services ("data subjects")
- In the case of radio communications, any personal data provided in the aviation frequency (e.g. name or telephone number)
- For telephone communications, customers who contact the unit by telephone or who the unit contacts by telephone.
Information collected on the use of Air Navigation Services
- Personal data contained in recordings collected via air traffic radio and telephone communications, e.g. speech, including communication metadata such as time and duration of messages.
Purposes of processing
Air Navigation Services processes personal data to provide air traffic services, which requires the retention and processing of communication data under section 116 of the Aviation Act. The processing of personal data is based on the fulfilment of the statutory obligations of Air Navigation Services.
Personal data retention periods
Air Navigation Services stores personal data for 3 months from the completion of the recordings.
