INVITATION: MaDaMe and ORMOBASS Projects Making Progress – Welcome to the Smart Maritime Future in the Baltic Sea Region Seminar!

Fintraffic's Vessel Traffic Services is actively contributing to the developing of future of maritime services through the MaDaMe and ORMOBASS projects, co-funded by the EU’s Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme.

  • Within the MaDaMe project, Fintraffic is developing the first digital VTS service – the Traffic Clearance Service – enabling data exchange between vessels and VTS centres.
  • In the ORMOBASS project, we are expanding a terrestrial alternative R-mode positioning system for the northern Baltic Sea and developing a GNSS interference information display system to provide maritime stakeholders with up-to-date information on reported GNSS disruptions.

After two years of development and testing, it is time to share our first results and discuss new services and opportunities together with maritime industry stakeholders.

Smart Maritime Future in the Baltic Sea Region Seminar

At the seminar held at the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen, three EU Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects – MaDaMe, ORMOBASS, and Baltic Sea e-Nav – will join forces to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the ongoing development of e-navigation and positioning in the Baltic Sea region.

The event is free of charge and open for participation both on-site and online. See the seminar invitation and program attached to this news article and register to join.

You are warmly welcome to join us in building a smarter and safer maritime future!
