Departure permission procedure to be implemented at Port of Oulu

Fintraffic VTS has signed a cooperation agreement with Port of Oulu Ltd. According to the agreement, vessel traffic services will be provided in the port’s administrative area starting from 1 May 2021.

As of 1 May 2021, the Port of Oulu will also implement a departure permission procedure, which means that in order to be granted permission to depart, the vessel must submit a departure report to the VTS. The permission to depart issued by the VTS is valid for 20 minutes.

Vessel traffic services at the Port of Oulu are provided by Bothnia VTS.
