Whose personal data is processed by Air Navigation Services (who are the “data subjects”)?
- Aircraft or vessel commander(s), flight plan creators and aircraft holders.
Personal data provided to Air Navigation Services by a representative of a data subject or a data subject’s organisation
- Contact details and other identifying information to be included on the flight plan form, such as name, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as information that describes the aircraft, such as aircraft registration code.
Purpose of processing
Air Navigation Services processes personal data in order to process flight plans and thereby ensure the safety and efficiency of air traffic in accordance with international agreements and legislation. The basis for the processing of personal data is the fulfilment of Air Navigation Services’ legal obligations.
Retention periods of personal data
The retention period for personal data processed in the flight planning centre is 5 years.
